Attention: NCTJ diploma students

The NCTJ are restructuring their diploma from September 2017.

The changes should not significantly affect you.

They mean that you:

1. Must submit your eportfolio to the NCTJ for marking by August 31, 2017.

2. Must pass the Reporting exam by April 2017. There will not be any other sittings after that.

You can still complete the diploma you signed up for, and you can follow your existing Study Plan, subject to 2 above.

The existing diploma will still be recognised by employers.

There are no changes to any other subjects, other than our annual update of course materials which will take place next month.

We apologise if the NCTJ’s announcement causes any inconvenience.

Please email courses@collegeofmediaandpublishing.co.uk if you have any queries.

Also to let you know that updated Essential Media Law and Court Reporting lessons are now available from in the relevant classroom.

They reflect changes in the NCTJ syllabus, and are also in line with the latest (23rd) edition of Essential law for journalists.

You will need the 23rd edition in order to use them. The 22nd edition is now out of date and should not be used.
