Cross-linking can help with SEO

Some people think that cross-linking doesn’t help with SEO. Most advice blogs don’t mention it much.

But that’s not because it isn’t allowed. It's just that most blogs don’t go that far in their explanations.

They assume you get the concept of 'flat' architecture, and don’t bother to tell you anything else.

But cross-linking is acceptable and advisable, provided:
  • the user gets where they want to go with as few clicks as possible, and
  • when they get there, they can clearly see how to get back, or how to get somewhere else.
I’m a big fan of SEO blogger Moz. Read his article which briefly mentions cross-linking.

So, cross-linking is very desirable, if it sticks to the rules above.
